Prices

How much does a website cost for a small business in Thailand?

The short answer: it depends on what the website has to do. A single page that shows who you are costs little. A shop with payments or a booking system costs more. This article explains what you pay for, how to compare several offers, and which costs come back every year.

What you are paying for

A website quote usually covers several things, even when they are not listed one by one:

  • Building the pages: the design, the layout on phones, the contact form.
  • The content: the words, the photos, and the translation if you want Thai and English.
  • The domain name, which is your address on the internet.
  • Hosting, which is the place where the site is stored.
  • Changes and repairs after the site is online.

Two quotes can look very different only because one includes hosting and content and the other does not. Always check what is inside.

What the market looks like, in general terms

There are three common routes. You can build it yourself with an online website builder, which costs a monthly subscription and your own evenings. You can hire a freelancer. Or you can hire an agency.

As a rough idea, and not as a price list: quotes in Thailand tend to run from around a hundred dollars for a simple page to a thousand dollars or more, sometimes much more, for a larger site made by a traditional agency. Prices vary a lot with the city, the team and the amount of work. Treat any figure you read online, including this one, as a starting point, and ask for a written quote. These are not Vemly prices. Vemly has no price list: each developer puts a price in their own offer.

What makes the price go up

  • More pages. Each page needs words, photos and checking.
  • More languages. Thai, English and Chinese mean three versions to write and keep up to date.
  • An online shop, with products, a basket, payment and delivery.
  • A booking system, with a calendar and confirmations.
  • A design made only for you, instead of a simple clean layout.
  • Content you do not have yet: someone must write the text or take the photos.
  • A link to another tool, such as your stock, your accounting or a hotel channel manager.

None of these is a bad idea. But each one is work, and work is what you pay for. If your budget is small, start with what brings customers and add the rest later.

How it works on Vemly: several offers to compare

Vemly is a marketplace for vibe coding. You post your project and your budget. It is free. Selected developers who build with AI send you their offers. Each offer has its own price.

A developer who works well with AI builds much faster than before. Less time to build means a lower price for you.

With several offers in front of you, you can compare. Look at the price. Look also at what is inside, at the past work of the developer, and at how clearly they answer you. Then you pick one, and you both sign a contract online on Vemly. Before you sign, check that the price and the work to do are written down.

The costs that come back every year

Building the site is a one-time cost. Keeping it online is not. A domain name is renewed every year. Hosting is paid by the month or by the year. Ask each developer whether the domain name and the hosting are in their offer, and how much they cost each year.

Ask one more question to anyone who builds your site: in whose name is the domain registered? It should be yours. If it belongs to the person who made the site, moving to someone else later can be hard.

How to compare two offers

  • Is the number of pages written down?
  • Is the site built for phones first?
  • Who writes the text and supplies the photos?
  • Are the domain name and hosting included, and for how long?
  • How many rounds of changes are included?
  • What does a small change cost after the site is live?
  • Can you see past work by the same person?

A sensible way to start

For a restaurant, a guesthouse, a small shop or a tradesperson, a single clear page is often enough to begin: what you do, where you are, your prices, your photos, and a way to reach you. It costs little and it can grow. A shop or bookings can be added when the first page has shown its worth.
